It is summer season…..and what is the first thing that comes to mind in summers??? For me its MANGOES…It is difficult to forget about this delicious lip-smacking fruit in the summers. I am a huge mango lover and having mangoes in the summer is a must for me at least. Since we all are stuck at home right and definitely many are experimenting in the kitchen… well, why not try some mango drinks recipes at home. 

Mango is said to be ‘King of Fruits’ and is a very popular and favorite fruit of all ages, especially in India. It is not only full of calories but also is a great source of vitamin A, potassium, and beta carotene. So, while you are at home, you can try these amazing mango drinks recipes which are not only tasty but will also make you feel refreshed.

1. Mango Mojito

Most of us are familiar with mojitos, it is a traditional Cuban cocktail. Mojito is basically a rum-based cocktail, the ones without alcohol are called virgin mojitos.

Mojito is a refreshing drink made of lime, sugar, water, or soda. A refreshing cooling mojito made with mangoes…what could be better??

Ingredients:

(For two glasses)

  • One Mango pulp (pureed)
  • Lime juice- 1 tablespoon
  • Limes – 2 (cut in wedges)
  • Mint leaves- 10 to 12
  • Sugar (per taste)
  • Sparkling water/ Soda/ Sprite- 2 cups
  • Few ice cubes

Directions:

  • Add the sugar, lime wedges and mint leaves in a serving glass. 
  • Add the lime juice and muddle the ingredients with a spoon or ladle, do not shred it just muddle it.
  • Pour the mango puree in the glass. Fill it up with ice cubes and then pour in the water or soda or sprite (whichever you prefer). 
  • Now, the fresh and cooling Mango Virgin Mojito is ready to serve.

2. Mango Milkshake

Mango milkshake is one of the most common and popular recipes that people love during the summer.

The flavor and smooth texture of mango milkshake make it an amazing treat for all of us to have and it is very easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • Mango cubes – 3/4th cup 
  • Milk- 1 cup
  • Sugar- 3 tablespoon
  • Ice cubes- 7 to 8

Directions:

  • Add the mango cubes, milk (you can use cold milk if you love extra chilled drink), sugar, and ice cubes in a blender. 
  • Blend this mixture all together till it is smooth. Your mango milkshake is ready to serve.

3. Spicy Mango Drink

This is the drink for you if you like bold flavors. This mocktail is very refreshing and gives you the kick of spiciness in between. Here is the recipe to make this amazing sweet and spicy drink.

Ingredients:

  • Mango pulp – 20 ml
  • Mango juice- 100 ml
  • Chili flakes- As per your taste
  • Tabasco sauce- 4 drops

Directions:

  • Firstly to make the sweet and sour syrup, combine the water and sugar in a pan. Stir it over medium flame until the sugar is dissolved. Bring it to a boil and then cool the syrup.
  • Then, mix the syrup, lemon juice, and lime juice in a bowl. Chill it and can be used whenever you need it.
  • Now, for the spicy mango drink, mix the mango pulp, tabasco, and juice with ice cubes. Add the sweet and sour syrup. 
  • Shake the ingredients together. Pour the mixture in a glass rimmed with salt and chili flakes.
  • Now you have your fresh and spicy mango drink is ready.

4. Mango Smoothie

This super smooth and creamy smoothie is the best smoothie recipe to try this summer. It is very easy to make and just takes a few minutes to make and tastes amazing.

Ingredients:

  • Mangoes- 2
  • Banana (Frozen)- 1
  • Milk- 1/2 cup
  • Yogurt- 1/2 cup

Directions:

  • Take the mangoes and chop it into pieces, you can also use frozen mangoes or freeze the chopped mangoes. 
  • Add the mangoes, frozen banana, milk, and yogurt and blend it all together in a blender till you get a smooth creamy consistency.
  • Now, you have your delicious and creamy smoothie ready to serve. Very quick and simple to make in a matter of a few minutes.

5. Aam Panna

Aam Panna is one of the very delightful and popular drinks to have during the summers. It is a must-try drink to beat the summer heat. Aam Panna is very refreshing and hydrating, especially in summer.

Ingredients:

  • Raw Mango- 1 
  • Black salt- 1 and 1/4 teaspoon 
  • Black pepper- 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder- 1 and 1/4 teaspoon
  • Jaggery- 1 tablespoon
  • Water- 1 cup
  • Ice cubes- 6

Directions:

  • Firstly, cook the mangoes in a pressure cooker till it becomes soft. Cool it down and remove the mango pulp from the seed and skin. Make a smooth paste from the pulp.
  • Add the jaggery to this paste and then add the water. Boil this mixture in a saucepan and then cool it down. 
  • To have a glass of Aam Panna, take 4 tablespoons of the mixture you made, add the cumin powder, black salt, black pepper powder and mix it all together. Then, add chilled water and mix it all well.
  • Pour it in a glass, add some ice, and your Aam Panna is ready to serve.
